National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) has released the notification for recruitment of 266 Administrative Officers (AO) for 2025 session . The job is permanent employment with a salary of Rs. 50,925 to Rs. 96,765 per month. The application submission process is online, starting from 12 June 2025 and application deadline is on 3 July 2025. The recruitment notification consists of positions for both Generalist and Specialist roles. The final selection process is transparent and merit-based, so that all students get equal opportunities in the selection process.
Important Dates and Application Fee
The NICL AO Recruitment notification was released on 10 June 2025, and the online application portal will open on 12 June 2025. The last date to apply for these posts and pay the exam application fee is 3 July 2025. The Preliminary Exam for these posts is scheduled for 20 July 2025, followed by the Mains Exam on 31 August 2025. The application fee for General/OBC/EWS candidates is Rs. 1,000, while SC/ST/PWBD candidates have to pay only Rs. 250. Fee Payment Should be made online via debit/credit cards, net banking, or UPI. Piad fee is non-refundable.
Eligibility Criteria and Vacancy Details
To apply for NICL AO Recruitment 2025, candidates age should be between 21 and 30 years old as of 1 May 2025. Age relaxation applies for reserved categories as per notification . Educational qualifications vary by post: Generalist AOs need a Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST), while Specialist AOs require a degree in their respective field (e.g., MBBS for medical officers, LLB for legal officers).The total vacancies are divided into 170 Generalist and 96 Specialist posts, with further category-wise distribution. UR (Unreserved) candidates have the highest number of vacant posts , followed by OBC, SC, ST, and EWS.
Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The NICL AO selection process consists of three stages for selection : Prelims, Mains, and Interview. The Preliminary Exam is a 60-minute test with 100 questions from English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude section . Only those who clear Prelims stage will be able to sit in the Mains Exam, which has 250 objective questions covering Reasoning, English, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge, and Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates who qualify in Mains stage will be called for a Personal Interview, followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination of the selected candidate . The final merit list will be based on Mains and Interview performance.
